CHECKPOINT

check·point

/ˈCHekˌpoint/
noun
a place along the route of a long-distance race where the time for each competitor is recorded.

10 years ago, I was introduced to a deeper understanding about music for the first time. It was also the first time I sing in a choir, the first time I learned about how to sing properly.

6 years ago, I decided to learn more about singing techniques. I was very lucky to got Ko Akis to guide me in singing properly up until today.

With all the ups and downs, after all these years, I think this is the right time to reach my checkpoint, especially in singing. Ten years in music and six years in singing might not be a long time for others, but for me, within these years my life has changed for good, and it happens because of the music itself. Therefore, I am going to have my very first vocal recital. It is something special and totally new for me since I rarely sing solo on stage – (perhaps) I’d rather conduct a choir than to sing solo.

The recital will be held on January 26, 2019 in GoetheHaus Jakarta, the gate will be opened at 7 PM. I will perform some German lieder, Bach’s aria, and also some piece from musical such as Miss Saigon and Yentl. A very good friend of mine, Nesca Alma, will accompany me with her beautiful piano playing. I will also collaborate with some friends: Anita Anggraeni (by the way she is my piano teacher), Christine Tambunan, Indah Sri Wiharja, and Eduard Pratama Sundjojo.

You can book your ticket via Paulina +62 812  8794 218. I really hope you can come and support me to reach the checkpoint.

Thank you so much, and see you there!
